11. The Barge Children
Age: 11yr, 10y, 6yr and 2yr
Story: The children are Alexus (age 11), Asja (age 10), Jeremiah (age 6), and Alanah (age 2). My husband is the only one working, and with what he gets paid there is only enough to pay the bills. The kids have been so good with not asking for anything, they know that we are having a hard time right now. But that’s not something they should have to worry about. The two little ones still believe in santa and would not be happy if santa did not bring them anything this year.

10. Alicia and Aaron
Age: 7y and 3yr
Story: This mother has worked very hard to overcome several obstacles in order to submit this entry for Alicia & Aaron. First, she contacted the event coordinator for entry details/rules, then traveled with young children to find a public computer, even helping her neighbor(s) enter their child too. This shows great character & benevolence! Unfortunately the public computer had some issues. Due to her delightful determination, the entry submission was able to be approved via email & phone. Alicia & Aaron’s mom will not be able to provide Christmas gifts this year, but clearly gives great effort in giving them love, happiness, and perseverance. They believe in Santa and wouldn’t understand why he didn’t bring them gifts too. Alicia loves taking pictures (children’s camera) and likes pretty pink/sparkly dresses (girls-8), shoes & socks/stockings (girls-10). Aaron really loves anything Thomas the Train®, Disney’s Cars® or Tonka® trucks; his sizes are 4T and shoes are toddlers size 10. They don’t have any winter coats either. Mom says thank you, everyone, so much! Merry Christmas!

7. Briauna
Age: 4yr
Story: All I want for Christmas…. Is for my daughter Briauna to be able to have presents under the tree from Santa. Briauna is an incredibly bright, beautiful, inside & out, magnectic little girl. She is so excited for Christmas & says this year will be the best ever! She watches her video she got from Santa over & over & says he has a very special present for her. It truly breaks my heart that I have no way to provide what she so innocently deserves. Unfortunatly, our family has had a rough few months. In the past few months we have both lost our jobs, house & car. A couple months ago we had to move in to my disabled mother in laws with very little income herself. Finding a job has been difficult, but I know I will find one. I have faith. I’m hoping & praying for my angel’s Christmas wish but I know Christmas is love in action. Every time we love, every time we give, it’s Christmas!

4. Thomas
Age: 3yr
Story: Thomas is an only child. His mom is a single mom whose ex-husband abused her and Thomas. They survive on minimum wage, barely able to afford rent or food. This year she is unable to get any Christmas presents for him or even some cloths. They work hard to stay together and continue to love each other during the holidays. He loves cars, toys and Thomas the train. He’s a smart boy and comforts his mom when she’s upset by hugs and kisses. He walks every day to daycare with mom and loves to learn. He knows the alphabet and can count to ten. His favorite blanket is a Thomas the train blanket he’s had since he was born. I love him dearly and i plead for help. I want to have Christmas this year. I haven’t had a good Christmas in years for him. Its time to give him a good Christmas.

3. Tommy
Age: 7yr
Story: Tommy is a great kid and deserves to have an awesome Christmas. He has a gentle heart and loving personality, yet gets picked on in school daily just because he tries to make friends with everyone. Socializing can be difficult for him due to ADHD. We spend a lot of time at home just he and I. I have been disabled with no income for the past 5 years, my husband just recently graduated culinary school and does work. His income keeps a roof over our head, but there is not a dime left over for Christmas presents or a tree. It makes me so sad that this might be the last year he believes in Santa, and I want it to be as special as possible for him. He loves to sing and dance to a Michael Jackson game that we have. He also loves to play with his Nerf guns, and do arts and crafts. He desperately needs shoes (size 3), socks, and pants size 7-8.
